The dates that change your numbers

  1. 28 October 2026

    Autumn Budget. Pension and ISA rules could change; we re-check every page that week.

  2. 6 April 2027

    Most unused pensions count for inheritance tax. The cash ISA limit falls to £12,000 for under-65s.

  3. 6 April 2028

    The minimum age to take a private pension rises from 55 to 57. By then the State Pension age has reached 67.

  4. 6 April 2029

    National Insurance savings on salary sacrifice are capped at £2,000 a year.
